Feather, our first Miniature Aussie, is our "funny colored dog" as my husband calls her. She was a dark red when born but in her first year, she went through some color changes and in fact is still
changing somewhat. After lots of discussions, the decision is that she is a very dark merle-with the salt/pepper spread
throughout rather than the patches typically seen.
She is one of the most lovable dogs I've ever had the pleasure of owning me.
Of course, that's not to say she doesn't make me wacky sometimes and she does have her flaws.
But snuggly, playful, beautiful cognac amber eyes, nice movement, longest eyelashes you'll ever see on a canine........
In short We positively love her!!

Feather is greatly enjoying the fun and socializing that comes wtih being a Dog Scout. The more people that meet
her and shower her with pets and hugs, the better. She has learned to paint and play the piano and wonders what comes
next!!
*** Feather developed Addison's disease.
We nearly lost her shortly before her 8th birthday due to mis-diagnosis....a common one when it comes to Addison's.
She's still going strong 4 years later at 12 and 1/2 years with the treatments that we can conveniently give at home.***
